Prep Your Home Before You Steam
How you prepare your home depends on your reason for renting a Steam It Gone dry-vapor cleaner. No matter what your reason, please take the time to watch the Instructional Video for your safety and the safety of your belongings. Steam it Gone is not responsible for any damage to your belongings, to your person or to anyone else.
Next, since you are only going to have the steam cleaner for a limited time, outline the job you plan on doing and prepare for each task by learning how to use the steam cleaner for that task and also clearing the work area of any clutter that might get in the way. Almost everything you need to know is explained to you in the video.
- Make a list of the tasks you would like to work on so that you can start thinking about what needs to be done in advance
- Remove all clutter that may get in your way.
- For walls and carpets, move furniture out of the way in advance. You could move the furniture a few feet from the walls and move them back after cleaning. Wait one or two hours to be sure the area is dry.
- Dust and vacuum thoroughly prior to steaming for best results
- Put away any fragile items so that you don’t knock them over. It may take a couple of hours before you feel comfortable using the machine.
- As the video mentions, the steam cleaner is excellent for detailing your car. You may want to empty and vacuum your car just in case you have time to get to it.
